Symptoms:

Excess TCC slip RPM & related codes

Cause:
TCC switch plunger sleeve bore wear and/or wear in the tcc switch/regulator bore allows loss of crucial control pressure.
Correction:
Restore proper hydraulic control by reaming the bore and replacing worn parts with the Sonnax oversized lockup control and plunger valve kit to restore proper clearances.
Vehicles with Jatco/Nissan JF016E (RE0F10D) and JF017E (RE0F10E) transmissions can have complaints associated with a worn plunger valve sleeve or wear in the TC switch/regulator bore which includes TCC apply codes, burnt converter and converter shudder. This wear allows critical control oil to escape, which affects the timing and quality of the lockup clutch apply and release action. Reconditioning the bore and installing this Sonnax oversized lockup control and plunger valve kit will restore correct clearances and maintain proper hydraulic control of the lockup control valve.
