Raybestos® Powertrain GM 6L80 / 6L90 4-5-6 Z Pak® features a single-sided clutch system that outperforms OE in torque and heat capacity, without coning. ZPak® significantly reduces max core temperatures and increases torque capacity and transmission durability perfect for every rebuild, including heavy duty applications. (Install kit with friction surfaces facing down, photo is for ID purposes.)

Recommended Use:
The Z Pak® is a problem solution for enhanced performance rebuilds in which the OE clutch pack is prone to failure.

Kit contains:

• 1 x 4-5-6 Apply Plate Steel
• 1 x 4-5-6 Reaction Plate
• 7 x 4-5-6 SS ID Spline GPZ
• 6 x 4-5-6 SS OD Spline GPZ
• 1 SS OD Spline (Thin GPZ)

6L80 Installation

The following installation steps are for the 6L80:

1. Install the thick stepped apply plate with the step facing up.
2. Install the thin reaction plate.
3. Install an ID splined friction plate friction facing down.
4. Install a thick OD splined friction plate friction facing down.
5. Continue alternating ID and OD splined plates until 6 ID splined plates are installed and 5 thick OD splined friction plates are installed friction facing down.
6. Install the thin OD splined friction plate friction facing down.
7. Install the backing plate and snap ring.

Clearance should be .050 ± 0.010”

6L90 Installation

The following installation steps are for the 6L90:

1. Install the thick stepped apply plate with the step facing up.
2. Install the thin reaction plate.
3. Install an ID splined friction plate friction facing down.
4. Install a thick OD splined friction plate friction facing down.
5. Continue alternating ID and OD splined plates until all 7 ID splined plates are installed and all 6 thick OD splined friction plates are installed friction facing down.
6. Install the thin OD splined friction plate friction facing down.
7. Install the backing plate and snap ring.
