For use in Phase 2 valve bodies.

Symptoms:

• 2-3 Concerns
• 3-2 Concerns
• Soft shifts
• Erratic buzz
• Uncontrolled pressure in Reverse
• Low line rise

Cause:
Breakage or collapse of the channel plate/lower cover checkball spring.

Correction:
Replace the spring with this direct replacement version.

The channel plate/lower cover checkball and spring in the various VW/Audi 01M, 01N and 01P units aid in controlling solenoid regulator pressure. When the spring breaks or collapses, proper fluid control is not maintained, resulting in 2-3 and 3-2 shift complaints. The Sonnax checkball springs restore proper fluid control.
