Tube Seals Installation for TH400

Tube Seals Installation for TH400

PART # 36208-2

Installation between transmission case and centre support

Purpose:
To address oil leakage occurring between the centre support and transmission case on TH400 models. Leakage has been observed due to movement of the centre support and imperfections in the case casting.

Background:
Oil feed leakage in the area between the case and centre support can occur when the sealing surfaces are not uniform or when minor movement takes place during operation. To rectify this issue, two tube seals are to be installed in the case to provide a more effective seal in this region.

Procedure:
  1. Ensure all components are correctly assembled into the transmission case.
  2. Before fitting the valve body, insert two tube seals into the feed channels for the centre support rubber seal.
  3. Using an appropriately sized punch, drive the tube seals down carefully until they are seated snugly against the centre support.
  4. Ensure each seal sits correctly to fully seal the feed surface.
  5. Take care not to block or restrict any channels in the case.

Result:
Proper installation of these tube seals will minimize leakage between the transmission case and centre support, improving sealing integrity and overall reliability.
